David Guralnick's course - "Workplace e-learning: Creating an Effective e-learning User Experience"

David Guralnick's e-learning design course is now offered as an 8-week online course! Details are below; the next session will begin on April 2nd, 2012.

Learn to create engaging, effective e-learning that's based on research from the fields of education, motivation, cognitive psychology and software usability, and watch videos of demonstrations of successful e-learning sites!


Online Course - Registration is open to anyone!
This course will not require online attendance at particular times, you can do all work "asynchronously" each week as it suits your schedule.
Before the course begins, all registrants will receive access to the online site used to host the course as well as access to all readings that will be used. A certificate of completion will be emailed, on request, to all participants who complete the course and would like a certificate.

Course Overview
This course will focus on the design of e-learning in workplace environments, from a perspective that looks to put academic research into practice. You'll learn creative techniques to design e-learning that is educationally-sound, engaging, and effective. Real-world cases, including numerous demonstrations of real-life courses and sites, will be used to explore uses of e-learning in the workplace for both training and “just-in-time” performance support purposes.
